LumenRadio  W-DALI

Discover W-DALI, the advanced wireless solution for controlling lighting without the need for traditional DALI cabling. With W-DALI you can easily and quickly set up a wireless lighting system, without invasive installations or additional wiring. Benefit from the flexibility and effectiveness of wireless lighting control, while retaining the reliability and functionality of the DALI protocol.

What is DALI?

DALI, which stands for Digital Addressable Lighting Interface, is the worldwide standard for lighting control. It is an open standard that enables communication and control between the components of a lighting system. DALI was established in the late 1990s by a global consortium of lighting companies, originally known as DiiA (Digital Illumination Interface Alliance) and now called the DALI Alliance. In 2014, DALI was updated to DALI-2, the latest version of the protocol, with improved interoperability and support for more product types. See also lumenradio.com

Within a DALI network, luminaires can be controlled individually or in groups, with the ability to store 16 different groups and 16 light scenes. This two-way digital communication enables devices to report their status or communicate faults.

What is W-DALI?

It's DALI, but without the cable = Wireless

Make installations more profitable with LumenRadio’s W-DALI lighting control – the ultimate wireless alternative to the DALI cable. Carry out renovations in record time, without invasive cabling or complex structural modifications.

Easy installation

The W-DALI DIN RAIL transmitter clicks directly into the distribution board, next to the existing DALI controller, and the W-DALI Nodes can control up to 10 luminaires simultaneously. The network is activated with a single push of a button.

Full DALI support

Use your trusted wired DALI controller together with any DALI-compatible lighting and/or sensors. W-DALI is fully transparent for both incoming and outgoing DALI commands – and no changes are needed to the configuration or programming.

The Historical Museum in Oslo uses
W-DALI for a challenging installation

Museum lighting is often complex and requires specialist solutions. This project in Norway's Historical Museum is an excellent example of how wireless control solves problems in places where cables are difficult to install or where restrictions apply to modifying spaces, walls and building structures.

Wireless innovation: LumenRadio at World of Volvo Gothenburg

An overlooked construction error became the catalyst for a brand-new product innovation from LumenRadio. Specialising in wireless technology that eliminates the need for data cables in commercial buildings, LumenRadio played a key role. What could have been a costly mistake turned into a flawless installation for wireless DALI lighting control.

Many monumental and protected buildings – such as churches, museums and historical monuments – lack the energy savings and ease of use of modern lighting control systems. As a result, these iconic locations do not realise their full potential in terms of atmosphere, experience and impact for their visitors.

However, there is a ready-made solution that many installers and electricians are not yet aware of: going fully wireless.
